About Us

Our Story

Widows Web Inc. was born from both pain and purpose. Our founder, Jessica Borga, grew up in a home shadowed by violence—where fear was constant and safety felt out of reach. As she grew older, that cycle of abuse continued into her adult relationships, nearly costing her and her unborn son their lives.

But Jessica survived. And through survival, she found her calling: to ensure that no one else feels trapped, alone, or hopeless in the face of domestic violence.

Out of her journey, Widows Web Inc. was created—a nonprofit organization built on strength, compassion, and the belief that every survivor deserves not just to survive, but to heal, rise, and thrive.

Why “Widows Web”?

The name Widows Web symbolizes resilience and protection. Like a spider’s web, our organization is strong, interconnected, and capable of rebuilding even after being torn apart. Every strand represents safety, connection, and hope—woven together by survivors and allies who refuse to give up.

Our Promise

We stand beside every survivor with compassion, courage, and confidentiality. Whether it’s a ride to safety in the middle of the night or long-term emotional and practical support, Widows Web Inc. is here to catch those who are falling—and help them rise again.
